Luxembourg, November 21, 2010 – An in-depth workshop organized by Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business on "The Rise of China and Your Global Strategy" attracted over 120 senior executives from global companies such as ArcelorMittal, Dassault, Tesco and Vodafone.

The CKGSB-sponsored workshop offered a forum for high-level Chinese and Western business leaders to exchange experiences and ideas for better understanding and further cooperation. It was held a day in advance of the annual Horasis Global China Business Meeting.
Highlighting the event was a panel discussion on "Entrepreneurship and Leadership of Chinese CEOs." The panel featured several Cheung Kong alumni who lead major Chinese companies, including Chen Yihong, chairman of China Dongxiang, and Liang Xinjun, vice chairman and CEO of Fosun Group. Steve Tappin, author of The Secrets of CEOs and head of Xinfu, also contributed valuable insights to the discussion.

Other distinguished guests of the CKGSB-sponsored workshop included Laurent Mosar, president of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, and Frank-Jürgen Richter, chairman of Horasis: The Global Visions Community. As part of the session, CKGSB Dean Xiang Bing gave a talk on the models and strategies that Chinese companies have adopted in the context of globalization, as well as on the relevant challenges and implications. Cheung Kong finance professor Leslie Young discussed the sources of China's recent growth and its economic standing relative to both developed markets and other emerging economies.
