VC Stars & CKGSB MBA Alumni Ramon Zeng and Daoping Wang Share Their Knowledge of the VC Market
On January 7th 2011, CKGSB alumni, Ramon ZENG (’03 MBA) from DCM Capital and Daoping WANG (’06 MBA) from WI Harper Group, were invited to the Beijing campus to give the current 2010 MBA and FMBA students a speech on industry dynamics and job opportunities in venture capital investment.
Both Ramon and Daoping are currently employed by top-tier venture capital firms with a global perspective as well as a proven track record of investment in the Chinese market, investments include Dangdang.com, Focus Media and SMIC. Based on extensive experience in investment arena and deep understanding of the Chinese market, Ramon and Daoping shared their insightful views to the students’ great interest.
Beyond a solid mastery of investment knowledge and a good sense of market judgment, a comprehensive set of soft skills are also required for successful venture capital investment, among which includes effective communication skills, time management and network development.
