How will China from the Inside courses connect to our overall EMBA curriculum?

We work with a program director or course instructor to customize each China from the Inside experience. For example, we can link China from the Inside to your course on global strategic management, growth strategies for emerging markets or global leadership. We select faculty, topics, case studies, company visits and networking opportunities based on your goals and interests.

Most partner schools incorporate the week in China as a part of the required curriculum for their students, and the courses they take during the week count as credit hours towards their degrees.

What topics are covered in the China from the Inside course?

Broadly, the course is designed to provide, a first-hand view of China's business context and culture with an emphasis on global strategy, leadership and management. For example, a recent program included:

• Globalization of Chinese companies.
• Financial markets in China.
• Marketing in China.
• Industry-specific issues.
• Leadership in China.
• Global leadership.

Specific topics are determined in consultation with EMBA program directors and faculty.

Where is the China from the Inside program held?

CKGSB has campuses and professors in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. China from the Inside is held on our Beijing campus.

Who has participated in China from the Inside so far?

We have delivered successful international modules for UCLA, the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and IE Business School in Spain. Using our work with these prestigious schools as our model, we are now introducing our China from the Inside format to other business schools in North America and Europe.

What is the cost of the program?

Our fees cover faculty, classroom, learning excursions, lunch teaching materials one cultural activity and most dinners.

Partner schools and students cover transport, lodging and breakfast. Most groups stay next door to our campus in the Grand Hyatt, where single rooms are typically available for US$200/night to US$300/night.

Who are the faculty for China from the Inside?

CKGSB is the only business school in China able to attract top faculty with experience teaching at schools such as Wharton, Stanford, NYU and INSEAD. In addition, the majority of CKGSB faculty members are Chinese, enjoying a home-field advantage in researching and generating world class insight on China business.
