On June 10, 2003, Cisco Systems' lawsuit against Huawei Technologies took an exciting turn. 3Com, Huawei's joint venture partner in North America, announced their application for judgment to the district federal court in Marshall, Texas. They hoped the judge would declare that the new products released by Huawei-3Com had not violated Cisco's IPR. With this action, 3Com got heavily involved in the legal battle between China and the United States' largest network equipment companies.

The CKGSB Case Center
With a collection of over 200 case studies guided by our world class faculty, the CKGSB Case Center provides teaching material to inspire debate and deeper understanding of the Chinese business environment.
Since 2003, the case center has developed over 150 case studies on questions of strategy. These have addressed how Chinese companies should go global, how multinationals can win out in China, and how family-fun firms should handle leadership change. Over cases include studies of government - business interaction, identification of key human resources issues, and analysis of innovative technologies in practice.
The case center portfolio also includes up to 30 cases on best practices in China marketing, 10 cases on supply chain management, and 10 cases with an accounting or finance focus.
Over 30 cases have been written in English, or translated from the Chinese.
