January CKGSB MBA program launches Diversified Consulting Projects
May CKGSB sends group of volunteers to Sichuan province to support those affected by the May 12 earthquake. Alumni and staff make generous donations for relief and reconstruction efforts

January “Love in Cheung Kong – 2009 Cheung Kong New Year Party” unveiled a new development stage for CKGSB: The establishment of the 25th branch of Cheung Kong alumni association in Sanya and the 1st “Cheung Kong Charity Fund” was also created
April CKGSB launches its finance MBA program to train Chinese finance professionals
October Beijing Campus of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business started to use the new office area and classrooms located at 20F of Building 2 of Oriental Plaza
December The first CKGSB China-Japan CEO Forum is held in Beijing

February After Sichuan Earthquake in 2008, Children from Yangtze River Bo’Aai Middle School were finally able to return to school thanks to the help of the Chinese Red Cross Foundation and CKGSB’s teachers and students.
May The CKGSB MBA program becomes the first among global business schools to offer a China-focused academic module
May “2009 Annual Appraisal of One-Hundred Excellent Service Organizations Relied on by Chinese CFOs” awarded Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business as “Most Reliable Business School by Chinese CFO” .
June Signing of CKGSB and Beijing Municipal Tongzhou District government’s letter of Intent of Project of Main Campus in Beijing. A confirmation of CKGSB’s settlement in Songzhuang Town, Tongzhou District
August CKGSB and Columbia Business School launch the Global Business Strategy: China Program

April CKGSB’s Shenzhen Campus opens at 7888 31F Building A of East Pacific International Center, Shennan Ave.
May “Studies of Chinese Ancient Civilization: China's Cultural Foundation”, the first module of post EMBA humanities curriculum – classics of Chinese ancient civilization of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business was started in Beijing.
September “Globalization Strategies and Practices of Chinese Enterprises” course began in Beijing Campus.
September CKGSB celebrates the launch of its European office, based in St. James’s Square, London
December CKGSB partners with the Malaysian government to train senior leaders from ASEAN countries
  CKGSB unveils new Blue logo, reflecting the Yangtze River and the commitment of the school in cultivating wisdom.
